Headaches can be misleading as immediately people link headaches to an issue within the head itself yet sometimes headaches can be caused by a combination of physical and physiological factors.

There are many factors that can cause headaches, however chronic headaches are formed from prolonged periods of muscle tension.

A particular common cause of headaches is postural strain which is when an individual starts having poor posture due there back pain. This creates tension in certain areas resulting in a build-up of headaches. If the back pain is not released the headaches cluster and can become chronic due to the pressure and tension not being released.

Slouching and hunching over can lead to chronic muscle tension in the neck. This tension due to poor posture can create prolonging fatigue and tiredness, which leads to referred pain that results in headaches again.

Moreover, misalignment of the spine can compress nerves in the neck and upper back, this compression can radiate to the head causing chronic cluster headaches. The body is really good at adapting so once the body realigns itself to manage the poor posture the headaches ease yet within a few weeks the pressure builds up more and the chronic headaches continue at an even more intense rate.

This patient has had a history of headaches since she was 13 years old and never understood how to get rid of them. She went down the medics route as it felt like the only option, yet the medications given helped the immediate pain but never cured it long-term.

She said;

“Nothing was ever diagnosed but it was a chronic headache which I had had up until recently. The pain started to develop from the constant headaches to the back which then travelled all the way down my legs”.

The patient had an injection in her sacroiliac joint, it helped her a little but never solved the issue. Her mother emotionally added;

“It was horrendous, because we couldn’t find anyone to help. It was horrifying, we are forever grateful for finding the people we found and starting the journey with CiONE”.

The CiONE team orchestrated an assessment to understand where the cause was, the patient had seen so many people that both her and her mum had lost hope that anyone could hope. They went into the assessment with low expectations.

She said;

“It was overwhelming as I didn’t know what to expect, I wasn’t expecting a lot as I had seen so many people and at that point, I was thinking it was going to be the same outcome, which obviously wasn’t the case at all”.

Her mother had been by her daughter’s side throughout her chronic headaches and back pain yet they hadn’t found a solution, the mother claims;

“For the first time, he said I know what’s wrong with you and if we start the journey then I can fix you and as a mother this is something that you want to hear”.

Following this the patient came on board with the program, and got fitted with their own custom plates to help maintain with the alignment of the body.

Tim king said,

“The plates allow the body to be in the right alignment the feet and knees all track in the right direction. The release puts the alignment back into the right place and the plates maintain the correct struggle to avoid the body drifting back into what it is used to, which ultimately would cause pain and injury”.

The patient describes the plates as being “hard to get used to, but it was a quick adaption and it was so beneficial”.

The bio fascial release:

Tim king knew from the moment this patient walked in that she was somewhat hypermobile, which meant she has a bigger threshold of pain. The Bio Fascial release is an ancient release that uses a deep amatzu in order to relax the intrinsic muscles. The fascia is a weblike structure that holds panniculus’s balls within it which needs to be broken down in order for the pain to be released.

The patient claimed,

“It was really painful but the relief after you touched the same points down my leg that was so painful before wasn’t anymore was crazy, literally the pain just went”.

The biofascial release when first executed can create strange reactions as there is a sudden immense amount of tension released.

Th tightness that is held within the fascia such as panniculus’s balls carry stress, trauma and emotional experiences can be stored within the weblike fascia.

The biofascial release also works on the autonomic nervous system, by applying the ancient amatzu technique, this stretched the fascia which can create a shift in the nervous system from a state of high alert to sympathetic dominance, which can release pent up emotions.

The patient said,

“After the release I got really really emotional I remember looking at mum being like why am I crying I have nothing to cry about… haha… so yeh the release must have released some trapped emotion”.

The patient claimed It was a release that felt good as all the built-up emotion was released which felt relieving, as well as her physical pain being cleared from making her feel discomfort.

Its never easy for a mother to watch her daughter in so much consistent pain, yet when she was released of her pain the mother said,

“It was tough but it was amazing as just before you started the release the pain was ridiculous, and as soon as the release was done it was like an instant pain release.”

From this biofascial release the patients’ headaches were released and cleared as her alignment was corrected and the cause of the pain had been released through the bio fascial release.

The final process was the bio core exercises which help to maintain the correct alignment by stabilising and strengthening the intrinsic muscles in the core.

Tim king firmly states,

“The bio core realigns post the treatment to make the intrinsic muscles stable and strong to support the body, as a bio mechanist you can see when someone does the work at home to strengthen the core intrinsic muscles.”

The patient emotionally concluded,

“It’s 100% worth it, you understand so much about your own body. I think it’s incredible and I would recommend it. If you commit to it you get so much from it, a big thing for me is remembering that it takes time to get completely better. I found it hard when sometimes I would see that I was improving but I was still in pain, it is a process which you have to trust and be patient with”.

Tim King emphasises that as clinicians they can do all the treatment to clear patients of the pain, yet to maintain a pain free body, it requires the patient to put in the work to keep their core and posture in the correct alignment.
The CiONE team said,

“With your body type it was not a straight forward process, and it needed your commitment for the treatment to pay off, and you did and look how far you have come”.

The mother summed up her own experience witnessing her daughter’s journey to becoming pain free and claimed,

“I don’t know what we would have done if we had not of found you, I am just so relieved, glad, happy that we started the journey. One thing I loved was the fact that Tim was always honest during the assessment, if he couldn’t help you would of told us.”
